Today is holiday here in the Philippines. It's Bonifacio Day! Andres Bonifacio y De Castro was the founder and at the same time a leader of the Katipunan movement which sought the independence of the Philippines from Spanish colonial rule. He is considered a de facto national hero in the Philippines.
